Tuscany has been a land of wine-growing tradition since ancient times. Its rolling hills and Mediterranean climate are the ideal ingredients for the production of quality wines. Its white wines are world-renowned.
Tuscany offers 24 DOC wines, five of which are classified as DOCG: Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino, Vin Noble di Montepulciano, Vernaccia di San Gimignano and Carmignano, distributed around the traditional regions of the heart of Tuscany and other more recent ones that have developed around the historic centers.
Tuscany produces a magnificent Cabernet Sauvignon, such as the great Sassicaia, one of the "Supers Toscans", testifying to Tuscany's ability to produce modern wines of great quality.
