The city of Modena may not be familiar to most people, but if you say "Ferrari" or "Aceto Balsamico", it will probably be the same for some. In addition to being known for fast sports cars, and balsamic vinegar, the province of Modena, located between Parma and Bologna, is also known for its great production of sparkling wine in red, rosé and white types.
In an effort to make good grapes other than the dominant Lambrusco varieties visible in the Modena region, the authorities decided in 2009 to approve the creation of the new appellation, Modena DOC.
The new wine-growing area came to include sparkling wine, among others. based on Ancelotta, Trebbiano, Pignoletto and Malbo Gentile grapes. However, the Lambrusco grape is still a very important part of the wine production.
In summary, we can say that there is pressure in every bottle, and the alcoholic strength is usually only about 9.5%, whether it is red, rosé or white wine.
