The IGP Vin de Pays du Var is a rosé wine produced in the vineyards of Provence-Corsica, a vineyard in the south-east of France and more precisely in the wine-growing region of Provence.
The IGP Pays du Var located in Provence is exposed to the Mistral which gives its wines character. Rosé wines represent 45% of the production. The vines are planted on south-facing slopes at an altitude of more than 300 meters, they are surrounded by a typical Provencal landscape.
The Var rosé wine can be made with the following main grape varieties: Mauzac, Aligoté, Altesse, Auxerrois, Carignan, César.
