Over the centuries, Burgundy has delimited each parcel of its vineyard, creating a unique model. Called "climats", these plots have been hierarchized.
At the top of this hierarchy is the "grand cru". Next comes the "premier cru", the "village" and finally the regional name "vin de Bourgogne".
