The AOC Mercurey is located in the north of the Côte, in the extension of the Rully vineyard. It’s, with 645 hectares, the largest vineyard in the Côte Chalonnaise area.
A total of 27,000 hectoliters of wine of this appellation are produced each year in the area. The reds, cherry ruby, are very rich in aromas of red and black fruits. They also offer a good persistence, notably thanks to the presence of tannins which do not dominate its fruitiness, and which gives them a good ageing potential.
