Red wines from the Monthelie Premier Cru production area can also claim the Côtes de Beaune-Villages appellation.
The red wines are well colored. They develop powerful aromas inspired by red or black berries, oak and undergrowth foam.
The Premier Crus are full-bodied, robust thanks to an even more present tannin, with a pronounced bouquet. The 1er cru les Champs Fuillot, located in the prolongation of the climate of les Caillerets (Volnay), produces the best wines of the appellation.
