Between Pommard to the north and Meursault to the south, Volnay is located at an altitude of 275 m: this narrow and sloping village occupies a fairly high position on the coast. Volnay is considered a feminine, smooth and subtle wine: the finest red wine of the Côte de Beaune. It is quite early.
