The Beaune premier cru is a wine appellation whose wines are produced in the vineyards of Burgundy, and more precisely in the wine region of the Côte de Beaune.
The main grape varieties that go into the composition of Beaune premier cru white wine are: Chardonnay Blanc, Pinot Blanc. The mention "Premier Cru" means that the grapes with which the wine is made come from a location of superior quality and this within the communal appellation.
It is a rather rare white wine with about 80,000 bottles sold per year. It is a wine with a clear, brilliant and limpid golden color, with green reflections in its youth. On the nose the bouquet is marked by notes of almond and white flowers, very elegant. The mouth is dense, fat typical of Chardonnay, good overall balance, very nice fruitiness with a reasonable persistence. It is a white wine to be drunk young.
