Valencia

The Valencia denomination is divided into four production areas: the Valentine corresponds to the land that rises gradually from the sea towards the interior, the Alto Ruria, located west of the Valentine and which corresponds to a plateau culminating at an altitude of 625 meters, the Moscatel located west of the city and the Clariano, an area isolated from the others and bounded to the north by the city of Valencia, and south by the city of Xàtiva.

The grape varieties used to elaborate the Valencia wines are numerous, either local or foreign. The red wines are made from Monastrel, Grenache, Syrah, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot or Bobal. 

 

The Valencia appellation, which is influenced by both the hot and dry Mediterranean climate and the altitude of some of its vineyards, offers an interesting diversity of wines, both white and red. The wine lover will be able to find what he is looking for in the wines offered by one of the 87 producing wineries, including Bodegas El Angosto or Blackboard Wines.
