Stag's Leap Wine is a vineyard in the Stags Leap District wine region in Napa Valley, California. It was founded in 1972 by Warren Winiarski. The vineyard was sold in 2007 to a joint venture of Chateau Ste. Michelle in Woodinville, King County and Marchesi Antinori Srl in Italy for $185 million.
The wines of Stag's Leap Wine Cellars actually come from two separate vineyards, Stag's Leap Vineyard and Fay's Vineyard, with the two vineyards being adjacent. The first vineyard dates back to 1970 and includes 13 hectares of Cabernet-Sauvignon and 2.5 hectares of Merlot. The Fay vineyard includes 24 hectares of Cabernet Sauvignon, 3 hectares of Merlot and 1 hectare of Petit Verdot.
