The AOC Côtes-de-Saint-Mont is located on the hills overlooking the plains of the valley dug by the Adour river, in the department of Gers, and covers an area of nearly 1,100 hectares which produces 67,000 hectoliters of wine per year, declined in red, rosé and white.
Very close to those of the neighboring Madiranese, the vineyards are mainly located on molassic clayey-sandy hillsides on either side of the Adour river. The climate is typical of the region, oceanic but with hot summers, with a regulating effect of the river in terms of temperature.
The tannat is the grape variety privileged by this appellation. It is blended with the fer Servadou and the two Cabernets for the elaboration of the reds. The assembly of these grape varieties produces intense red wines of good, well rounded and fine in the mouth.
