Côtes-de-Millau

The Côtes-de-Millau is a French wine with the appellation d'origine vin délimité de qualité supérieure (since 1994) whose vineyards are located in 17 communes of the Aveyron. The origins of the vineyard go back to the Roman period, then it will continue to feed the wine of mass and drink intended for pilgrims. 

 

Today, only 18 producers spread over 17 communes of the Millavois produce this fruity wine. Since 2012, the wines will obtain the AOC, which will increase export sales. Currently 200,000 bottles are sold each year

 

The main grape varieties for red wines are Gamay Noir and Syrah. Complementary grape varieties include Cabernet Sauvignon, Duras and Fer Servadou.
