The Anjou Villages appellation area covers 43 communes in Maine-et-Loire and 3 in Deux-Sèvres. The delimited area includes the areas of AOC Coteaux du Layon, Anjou Coteaux de la Loire, as well as some bordering communes. This terroir corresponds to a selection of land selected in the AOC Anjou. The most healthy, early and well exposed soils have been selected in the delimited area.
The wines of Anjou Villages are made from Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Very beautiful Anjou Villages are proposed by the Château Princé or the Château de Fesles.
