The Côtes-d'Auvergne is an AOC wine from the Puy-de-Dome since 2011, cultivated from Riom to Issoire via Clermont-Ferrand, between the Chaine des Puys and the river Allier. The marly-limestone and volcanic soils give the wines a very marked character. At 400 m of altitude, the vineyard is characterized by a strong annual thermal amplitude, with a hot and stormy summer and a cold and dry winter.
For these white wines, only one grape variety is allowed: Chardonnay which makes very aromatic fruity wines with aniseed, pear and exotic fruits.
