Nestled between Moselle and Meuse, in the heart of Lorraine, the Côtes de Toul appellation has a two thousand year old history. In full revival for about forty years, its wines are gradually regaining their letters of nobility and are found in many countries of the world. There are nearly 125 hectares in production and 25 operators (winegrowers, winemakers and merchants).
The AOC Côtes de Toul produces white wines from the Auxerrois grape variety. Racy and opulent, they share their freshness and elegance due to the clay-limestone soils of the appellation.
The Pinot Auxerrois is a local grape variety, an aromatic selection of the Pinot Blanc, developed in Lorraine for the soils and climate of Lorraine. The objective was to have an aromatic and fruity grape variety, suitable for champagnization and resistant to phylloxera.
