The Tavel is a grand cru of the Rhone Valley, it is, according to many gourmets, considered to be the best rosé in the world.
On the hillsides bordering the right bank of the Rhône between the Avignon bridge and the Pont du Gard, nestles an exceptional terroir... the "Kingdom of Tavel". On this soil mixed with lauzes, pebbles, sand and gravel, noble grape varieties are fully expressed, giving birth to this unique cru dedicated to rosé.
Tavel is a wine with an appellation d'origine contrôlée produced in the communes of Tavel and Roquemaure, in the Gard. Tavel is not only a summer wine but a wine for a whole meal, which can be consumed throughout the year. It can be enjoyed in its prime youth, but also in old vintages.
Tavel has this ability to have several lives: a sweet and flowery childhood, a full-bodied and spicy adolescence, a peppery and full-bodied great age. Tavel is exported in all countries of the world and is very appreciated in Belgium, England, Germany, USA but also in Asia, Russia... Tavel is present in all the great restaurants of our planet.
