The AOC Minervois-La Livinière is an appellation from the AOC Minervois. It defines a terroir located in the heart of the Minervois in the natural region known as the "Petit Causse", at the bottom of the Montagne Noire. It includes six communes: Azillanet, Azille, Cesseras, Félines Minervois, La Livinière and Siran.
The vineyard covers an area of 300 hectares and produces approximately 7,700 hectoliters per year. The main grape varieties of the AOC Minervois-La Livinière are Syrah, Mourvèdre and Grenache. They must represent at least 60% of the vines (of which at least 40% are syrah or mourvèdre), with a possible complement of carignan, cinsault, terret, picpoul or aspiran. The wines produced on this AOC are exclusively vinified as red wines.
