Growing wild, the vine was domesticated in Corsica by the Greeks.
Covering nearly 8,000 hectares, the vineyards of Corsica are spread over the entire coastline of the island and benefit from 9 controlled appellations of origin, among which the wines of Figari, Ajaccio and Patrimonio stand out. Corsica benefits from a Mediterranean climate, marked by contrasts both in terms of temperature and rainfall, due to its geographical situation, but also to its mountainous relief.
This white wine draws its essence from the summer mildness of Corsica and its exceptional sunshine.
Among the most used grape varieties, most of which are specific to Corsica, we can mention Vermentinu and Bianco Gentile for the white wine.
