The vineyards of the Vin de Pays du Périgord are spread over both the Lot and Dordogne departments in the South West wine region. The white wines that it provides, are mainly present in local shops. A geographical denomination has been attached to this IGP, it is the wine of Domme! This wine, until the phylloxera crisis, enjoyed a good reputation. It was not until the 1990s that some winegrowers replanted this forgotten vineyard. Its legislation on the other hand is more rigorous than for the other IGPs.
The white Périgord wine has a pale yellow color. The nose is fresh and lively with floral and citrus notes. The mouth is sharp, straight, with a fruitiness that marks the palate.
