The AOC Pécharmant is a vineyard that extends over nearly 435 hectares, with a production of 16,900 hectoliters, from the gates of Bergerac to the communes of Creysse, Lembras and Saint-Sauveur. It is the oldest vineyard in the Bergerac region, dating from the 11th century.
This Bergerac appellation benefits from the temperate oceanic climate. But in addition to the mild temperatures, it benefits from a good amount of sunshine, which favours the good maturity of the grapes and the concentration of sugars.
The red wine must be made from at least three of the following four grape varieties: Cabernet franc, Cabernet sauvignon, Cot and Merlot noir. It is a powerful, generous and singular wine with great aromatic intensity and good ageing potential.
