The AOC Anjou-Villages is a red wine. The vineyard at the end of the Armorican Massif covers 135 hectares and produces 9 600 hectoliters per year with a yield set at 55hl/ha.
The area of this terroir has been delimited among the best lands of the AOC Anjou. The soils are healthy and well exposed for the grape varieties cabernet franc (70%) and cabernet-sauvignon (30%). After pressing, the juice must have a sugar content lower than 162g/l. The vinification provides for a prolonged maturation to obtain wines with a deep ruby color, full-bodied and harmonious.
The AOC Anjou-Villages thus offers wines with floral notes of iris and violet, brought by the cabernet franc. The Cabernet Sauvignon brings complexity with its notes of red fruits to black fruits or undergrowth. These wines can be kept for 8 to 10 years.
