Domaine Duroché is one of the most discreet yet highly respected wine estates in Gevrey-Chambertin, in the heart of Burgundy. Run by a passionate winemaking family for generations, it is now a benchmark on the Côte de Nuits, where the elegance and precision of Pinot Noir reach their full potential.
History and Family Heritage
Founded in the early 20th century, the domaine has remained a family affair deeply rooted in the village of Gevrey-Chambertin. Today, Pierre Duroché, representing the fifth generation, continues the legacy with a meticulous, artisanal approach that honors both terroir and tradition.
With 11 hectares of vines, the estate benefits from outstanding plots across Village, Premier Cru, and Grand Cruappellations, including some of the most prestigious sites in the region.
A Unique Terroir and Responsible Viticulture
The vineyard is cultivated with sustainable farming practices, prioritizing soil health and biodiversity. No unnecessary inputs, no excessive intervention : nature speaks for itself. Grapes are hand-harvested and carefully sorted to ensure only the finest fruit is vinified.
Traditional winemaking techniques include wild yeast fermentation in open tanks and gentle aging in oak barrels, mostly used, to preserve the purity of the fruit and the identity of each parcel.
The Wines
Duroché wines are known for their clarity, finesse, and aging potential. Made exclusively from Pinot Noir, they offer a delicate balance of power and elegance. Aromas of red berries, violets, and subtle earthy tones unfold in a vibrant, mineral-driven structure.
Each cuvée expresses a specific plot, revealing a unique facet of the Gevrey terroir with remarkable precision.
A Collector's Favorite
Highly rated by the international wine press and sought after by collectors worldwide, Domaine Duroché has become one of the most coveted names in modern Burgundy. Due to limited production, bottles are increasingly rare and in high demand.
