Louis Roederer is a world-renowned champagne house founded in 1776 in Reims, France. For more than two centuries, this family-owned company has developed a unique expertise in the production of exceptional sparkling wines, with a focus on quality and excellence. Over the years, Louis Roederer has developed his own vision of champagne, based on quality rather than quantity. He acquired vineyards in the region's best terroirs and began to craft exceptional cuvées, focusing on blending the region's different grape varieties and crus.
Today, Louis Roederer produces a wide range of champagnes, from entry-level vintages to the most prestigious grands crus. Among the house's most emblematic cuvées is the Brut Premier, a fresh and balanced champagne made from a blend of traditional grape varieties (Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier) and reserve wines.Louis Roederer is also known for its Champagne Rosé, made from a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, with a little red wine from the Montagne de Reims. This champagne seduces with its salmon colour and subtle aromas of red fruits.
But if Louis Roederer is particularly famous throughout the world, it is undoubtedly thanks to his Champagne Cristal, an exceptional cuvée created in 1876 at the request of Tsar Alexander II of Russia. He had expressed his desire for a champagne of exceptional quality, capable of competing with the best French and foreign wines. In response to this request, Louis Roederer produced a special cuvée, bottled in Baccarat crystal bottles, hence the name of one of the most popular Champaing Bottle.
This exceptional cuvée is made from grapes exclusively from the best terroirs of the Champagne region and is aged for at least six years in the cellar before being released on the market. Champagne Cristal seduces with its finesse, aromatic complexity and freshness on the palate. It reveals subtle aromas of white fruits, white flowers and brioche, and a beautiful acidity that gives it great elegance. This exceptional champagne is the result of a unique know-how passed down from generation to generation at Louis Roederer, and remains today one of the most prestigious champagnes in the world.
