Viña Gravonia: A rich heritage and an intact tradition

Nestled in the heart of the Rioja Alta region of Spain, the Viña Gravonia estate stands out as one of the most prestigious in the region, with its 75 hectares of vineyards dedicated to producing exceptional wines. Among its gems, the Viña Gravonia Crianza   stands out as a true jewel, born from ancestral know-how and a unique terroir.

A rich heritage and an intact tradition

Founded in 1877 by Don Rafael López de Heredia y Landeta, Viña Gravonia has been perpetuating a winemaking tradition for over 140 years. Over the generations, the López de Heredia family has preserved ancestral methods and the authentic character of the wines, while striving for excellence.

An exceptional terroir and meticulous viticulture

The Viña Gravonia vineyards thrive on clay-limestone soils, perfectly suited to the cultivation of Tempranillo, the king grape of the Rioja region. The practice of sustainable agriculture and meticulous viticulture, respectful of the environment, guarantees the optimal quality of the grapes.

Viña Gravonia Crianza An exceptional white wine

Viña Gravonia is the house's most modest wine but its complexity is quite remarkable. The first impression on the nose is one of maturity and moisture: wet stones, sea breezes, gentle whiffs of iodine, which come as a surprise to anyone accustomed to lighter, younger whites, but which immediately captivates lovers of mature, complex whites. Swirling it round a little, straightaway it offers a blend of fresh, citrus aromas, with lactic notes (cheese) and ripe fruits, of ripe pear skin and lime blossom tea, with a very pleasant freshness once it becomes still in the glass.
