the 2021 primus carmenere is varietal, mildly peppery and spicy, soft and with contained ripeness and 14% alcohol. there is 15% syrah in the bottled blend, after 12 months in 225-liter french oak barrels. it's a gentle expression of the grape, supple and tender, easy to drink. 40,000 bottles produced. it was bottled in august 2021.
