valtravieso reserva 2010 is a red wine produced by bodegas valtravieso under the ribera del duero denomination of origin. it is made from tinta fina, cabernet sauvignon and merlot grapes. to speak of valtravieso reserva is to speak of an excellent companion for important tables or simply to enjoy a special moment. it combines freshness and acidity to perfection, thanks in large part to the extraordinary orographic conditions of the vineyards, both in terms of soil quality and altitude. the aromas of plums and black fruit compote, with notes of green currant, blend perfectly with other more gourmand aromas of caramel and bonbon. a complex wine that offers us a great diversity of tobacco and cedar wood aromas when we let it gradually open up. in the mouth it is persistent, with perfect volume and acidity. the tannins have an evolution in time where they become more complex and fine. furthermore, its ageing for 18 months in french oak barrels and the period it remains in the bottle allow us to savour this wine, but also provide it with the necessary grandeur for an excellent ageing, where it will gain in nuances.
