"currently in the d.o.c.g. barolo, located in piedmont (northern italy), there is a total of 181 mga (menzioni geografiche aggiuntive). the result is solid, colourful wines with a tannic structure and texture, which are tamed by long ageing times. the strains, which are distributed as in an amphitheatre, have a southwest exposure, totally protected from the wind, guaranteeing the quality of the grapes. these two hectares of vineyards, with an average age of 40 years, grow at an altitude between 260 and 390 meters above sea level. vietti, totally respectful of the environment, cultivates organic strains (with certification), working mostly manually, as in the case of the harvest. finally, already in the cellar, the nebbiolo that gives life to vietti lazzarito barolo, is pressed gently and left to macerate before fermentation. after some time, vietti lazzarito barolo is incubated in stainless steel tanks where it will ferment in contact with the skins for about four weeks and will again be left to macerate, strengthening the flavors and aromas of vietti lazzarito barolo, which will take structure and body. with these last two steps, you can tame this beast, which will eventually become one of the most tasty and admired reds in the world. vietti lazzarito barolo 2018 is a concentrated, deep and intense red. the tasting begins with a powerful red color, which is diluted in reddish and orange reflections that pull towards the garnet. this sensual and evocative character continues on the nose, where we find a multitude of aromas and notes, which combine to perfection, giving a complex character: raspberries, fresh mushrooms and passion fruit. in the mouth, it shows its body and its characteristic structures, with youthful and vibrant tannins. long and tasty finish. "
