the jerez dulce de sánchez romate is a sweet wine made from palomino and pedro ximenez grapes. the sánchez romate estate is one of the oldest sherry producers in the jerez region of andalusia. this cuvée was bottled in 1973 and offers a dark amber color, with intense aromas of honey, dried figs, hazelnuts and toasted almonds. on the palate, the wine is rich and complex, with a taste of caramel, chocolate, dried fruits and spices. the finish is long and smooth, with notes of oak and vanilla. this wine can be kept in bottle for many years, due to its high sugar and alcohol content. it is perfect to accompany fruit desserts, strong cheeses or to enjoy alone at the end of meals.
