"the brunello di montalcino vigna vecchia of the winery ragnaie was born in vineyards located at the lume spento pass, which is the highest point of the entire montalcino region. it is produced exclusively with sangiovese grapes, harvested and selected exclusively by hand. fermentation is done in concrete tanks at a controlled temperature of 28°c for 40 days. the wine is then aged in barrels for 36 months before being bottled. brunello di montalcino vigna vecchia is characterized by a bright ruby red color. the nose opens with an elegant bouquet of red fruits, enriched with pleasant spicy notes of nutmeg, laurel and eucalyptus. on the palate, it is pleasantly warm and elegant, with a delicate balsamic finish. perfect to accompany dishes with meat sauce and risotto, it is ideal in combination with game, stews and roasts."
