"famous wine of legend, the vineyard of château haut-brion is located in the pessac-léognan appellation and covers 51 hectares of vineyards including 48 planted with red grape varieties. its 2005 vintage comes from a blend of cabernet sauvignon, merlot and cabernet franc. this wine presents, to the eye, a very dense color almost black. on the nose, it exhales an almost breathtaking aromatic intensity. you will find all the complexity that characterizes the château haut-brion with notes of smoke, havana and roasted coffee beans. the fresh fruit is also part of the set with particular touches of red currant and cherry. on the palate, the château haut-brion 2005 presents a dense, long and creamy attack. powerful and fresh, its mouth is characterized by a certain harmony. this wine shows an incredible aromatic persistence very long. a vintage that is undoubtedly one of the most successful in this field.
