"the guyot are one of the oldest families of marsannay-la-côte. louis guyot is the founder of the estate at the beginning of the last century. generations have passed and olivier guyot has been managing this 15-hectare vineyard since 1990, divided between marsannay-la-côte and gevrey-chambertin. the vines are cultivated in reasoned culture and plowed on horseback. aged for sixteen months in oak barrels, the grapes are the result of purchases made by olivier guyot during the year. the colour is a brilliant ruby. the nose develops tertiary aromas of subtubes and mushrooms with delicate notes of fig and blackcurrant. the mouth is lively and structured with marked but balanced tannins and a long and warm finish."
