located in the heart of the vacqueyras appellation, in sarrians to be precise, the domaine des tours is run by an international star that we no longer need to introduce to you: emmanuel reynaud. this winemaker offers us a blend of merlot and syrah classified as a vaucluse country wine. without much surprise, this wine has been the object of a very careful culture, even risky. indeed, the grapes are harvested only at optimal maturity, very optimal. in the cellar, particular care is taken in the vinification to let the berries express the quintessence of the original terroir. a terroir composed of limestone, sandstone, marl and rolled pebbles and a mediterranean climate. if this wine can be appreciated as well young as after a little bit of keeping, it seduces us by its purple dress tinted with purplish reflections. from this one escape notes of very red fruits like raspberry. these notes are found in the mouth and are completed by complex touches of sweet spices. gourmets will do well to open this wine a little before serving and pair it with grilled meat, eggplant gratin or a savory pie with figs, hazelnuts, country ham and parmesan cheese.
