orto vins la carrerada 2011 is another spanish red wine from the priorat region. it is made from grenache and carignan grapes grown in terraced vineyards on schistous soils. the wine is aged for 18 months in french oak barrels, giving it aromas of ripe black fruit, liquorice and vanilla. on the palate it is full-bodied with a velvety texture, firm tannins and balanced acidity.
