his son, louis-gustave, was one of the few domains in burgundy to sell bottled wine to individuals from the 1880s. his son jules really developed the sale of bottled wine around 1895. thus, the 4 domaines of this 6th generation (michel gros, af gros parent, gros brother and sister, anne gros) are preparing the arrival of the 7th generation. anne took over the estate from her father françois in 1988 under the name of "anne et françois gros" and then under the name of "anne gros" in 1995. in 2019, she passed on the estate to her 3 children (julie, paul and marine), continuing the training of her 2 elders... located 250 km south of paris, burgundy covers 31,752 km². its relatively flat relief is made up of a series of plains in the east, a more rugged region in the centre with an altitude of 400 to 900 metres in the morvan, and finally an area rarely exceeding 300 metres in altitude in the west. the geographical diversity of burgundy leads to a diversity of climates and the existence of numerous micro-climates. the average annual insolation is 2000 hours, the average temperature is 11.5 degrees celsius. the côte de nuits is carved out of jurassic limestone. as its name suggests, the côte has a fairly steep slope. the clay-limestone complexes, the different sun exposures and the climatic data resulting from the shaping of the combes perpendicular to the fault line of the coast give us a very fragmented pdo classification system. la ciaude is a superb minervois, which will express itself over several years. the wine is complex, endowed with a beautiful depth that will have to be left to settle in the cellar. we are here in the presence of a great wine, which will marry perfectly with meat dishes. do not hesitate to decant it in order to let it express itself fully. ---team enjoy wine
