caves maria rigol ordi was born in 1987, when maria rigol ordi , missed by her long family tradition (her grandfather had already made cava, "xampany" of the time, in 1897), decided , along with her son francesc manobens rigol , elaborate a small production in the cellar of his house in the center of sant sadurní d'anoia. caves maria rigol ordi is committed to producing a quality product with traditional penedés varieties and long aging. to do this, they select winegrowers from the area that allows them to capture the essence and richness of this unique territory. the final result is cavas of great personality and uniqueness, made with the latest technology but always faithful to the classic production methods. this vintage is an excellent cava brut light, fresh. lovely as an aperitif. crisp and fun. on the nose we can feel hay with a bit of lemon. on the mouth also, plus notes of green apricot. this has long tasting with great tannins as well.
