Our French wines recommendations for the Christmas meals !

This year offer yourself a four-star Christmas dinner! Foie gras, salmon, turkey with chestnuts... And in your glasses? Wines to match with this festive menu. It's the perfect opportunity to taste great wines!
Let's look at our French wines recommendations for these Christmas meals:
- Margaux. Probably the best known appellation of the Médoc! Fine and elegant, its red wines with red fruit aromas are renowned throughout the world. For your Christmas meal, serve it with traditional turkey, accompanied by ceps and truffle puree.
- Sauternes. Sweet and syrupy, Sauternes is THE wine for festive meals. The most prestigious of them, Château d'Yquem, produces one glass of wine per vine. Enjoy it with foie gras served with gingerbread toasts. You still have some left after the starter? Don't hesitate to serve your Sauternes with Roquefort. The agreement is surprising!
- Graves. Its red wines, velvety and silky, with aromas of raspberry, strawberry and violet go perfectly with mature cheeses.
- Saint-Emilion. Their aromas of small black fruits make them round and fine red wines, easily recognizable. Serve them with your matured cheeses. You have planned a chocolate log? The tannins of Saint-Emilion will marry perfectly with your dessert.
- Pauillac. Full-bodied and full-bodied, Pauillac wines develop notes of liquorice and cedar. Are you replacing the sacrosanct Christmas turkey with game? A Pauillac will be perfect with roast doe accompanied by a pumpkin gratin.
- Chablis. Lively and mineral, Chablis is a white wine that develops aromas of honey, almonds and dried fruit over time. It goes very well with fish, such as smoked salmon. A few toasts, a knob of butter, a dash of lemon and you're done!
- Chassagne-Montrachet. Fat and opulent wines, aromas of exotic fruits, a woody side... The wines of the Chassagne-Montrachet appellation are ideal for Christmas meals. Smoked salmon, roasted poultry, cheeses, they go well with all your finest dishes. You want to enjoy the same wine throughout the meal? This is the occasion.
Here is a selection of classic French blends, don't hesitate to try the extravagance with wines from all over the world that you could find on our website !
Merry Christmas to all wine lovers xxx
