Patrimonio in white was the first AOC of the island to be recognized as early as 1968. This appellation is at the top of the Corsican wines with the rank of Cru, all the elements of a terroir that gives an exceptional wine: The 450 hectare vineyard close to the sea benefits from a microclimate.
Among its clay-limestone soils, the Patrimonio appellation shelters schistose and granitic soils, tempered by the Sirocco which blows all year round which moderates the strong summer heat and cleans up the harvest.
The four main grape varieties of Patrimonio wines: Niellucciu, Grenache, Sciaccarellu and Vermentinu form an emblematic link of the Appellation.
The winegrowers practice Organic Agriculture and the vineyard is in the process of becoming completely Organic. The Appellation Patrimonio, is a strong appellation that remains a recognized name.
