The vineyards of the Corbières are historic, dating back to the Romans, even to the Phocaeans when they colonized the south-east of La Gaulle. The white wines have strong and diverse characters, depending on the terroirs that have been identified and delimited; there are 11 of them: Boutenac, Durban, Fontfroide, Lagrasse, Lézignan, Montagne d'Alaric, Quéribus, Saint-Victor, Serviès, Sigean, Termenès.
The white Corbières wine, is often elaborated with a dominant of white Grenache, supplemented by other grape varieties known as accessories. Its dress is pale yellow, its reflections are green, it is limpid and brilliant. The nose opens on notes of white flesh fruits and flowers. The mouth is dense, round, with the tense and well asserted side of Grenache, the finish is mineral with a small aniseed side. It is best to drink these white wines in their youth or to wait 3 years in the cellar.
