Châteauneuf-du-pape is the largest appellation of the Rhône.The appellation produces mostly red wine, but white wine shines just as much for its reputation and rarity.
Dry white wine, it is mainly made from Cinsaut, Clairette, Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, Bourboulenc. The estates of La Janasse, Le Vieux Télagraphe, Chante Cigale, Xavier Vignon and Château de Beaucastel are among the jewels of the appellation.
