the Protected Designation of Origin Pla de Bages, is a privileged region surrounded by mountains such as Montserrat or the Natural Park of Sant Llorenç de Munt i l'Obac.
The Pla de Bages wine tradition has existed since time immemorial. In fact, some historians maintain that the toponym of Bages comes from the Latin Bacchus, the god of wine.
It is one of the AOP that is currently experiencing the greatest growth. The native varieties are preserved and the rigorous climatology characterized by low rainfall and a clayey and calcareous silt makes it possible to produce excellent wines, impregnated with the balsamic notes of lavender and thyme, two aromatic plants very present in the forests surrounding the vineyard.
