For nearly 2000 years, Burgundy has been an agricultural land conducive to the production of qualitative wine. The first sparkling whites were made in 1819 according to the Champagne method and the very first bottles were offered for tasting in 1821.
Currently, three main areas are dedicated to the production of Crémant de Bourgogne: Bailly, Rully and Nuits Saint-Georges. Among the 23 regional appellations produced in the vineyards of Burgundy, Crémant de Bourgogne represents about 10% of the region's wines. Today, more than 20 million bottles are sold each year on all five continents. Crémants are beginning to take market share in champagne sales. Between a good crémant and a bad champagne, consumers have made their choice!
The grapes used to produce this sparkling wine come from several grape varieties and different vintages, giving it a unique and authentic taste. Crémant de Bourgogne is distinguished by its fresh and sparkling side.
