Among the IGP of Languedoc, the vin de pays de l'Hérault is one of the best known. Indeed, thanks to the remarkable work of the Mas Daumas Gassac estate, this IGP has gained worldwide recognition. The wines that this domain produces are exceptional.
There are about thirty grape varieties for the production of the wines of the Hérault region. These main grape varieties used in the production of rosé wines are typically Mediterranean. Among these grape varieties are Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah and Carignan. Some winemakers add Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Miller and Mondeuse to their blend.
The Vin de Pays de L'Hérault rosé has a pretty clear color with pink reflections, a nose with aromas of red fruits and wild strawberries, a pleasant and supple mouth. With a very harmonious balance, it can be enjoyed chilled between 6° and 9° as an aperitif, with pizzas, grilled meats or charcuterie.
