The AOC Coteaux-d'Aix-en-Provence extends over nearly 4,200 hectares, in 49 communes located between Aix en Provence and Marseille. The Mediterranean climate is truly exceptional. The terroir benefits from a perfect sunshine and the Mistral wind brings its benefits to the vines.
The vineyard is implanted on a mainly clay-limestone soil, made up of pebbles and gravelly and silty sands. The wines of this appellation are made from a blend of various grape varieties (grenache, bourboulenc, clairette...) but they develop their own qualities and character according to their area of production.
This AOC produces 189.200 hl/year of charming wines very typical of Aix Provence. The rosés are the majority (60% of the production), supple and fruity, they offer aromas of blackcurrant, raspberry and lychee.
