The Clare Valley in Australia's southern wine region extends north of Adelaide, more than 100 kilometers from the state capital, within the Mount Lofty Ranges.
Most of the vines are planted at heights between 400 and 500 meters above sea level. The variation in soil (fertile alluvium, limestone and rock, sandy loam) and sun exposure allows the production of distinct wines.
The climate being favorable to red grape varieties, the region produces high quality wines based on Syrah, fragrant, powerful and structured wines. The Cabernets Sauvignons are excellent and are characterized by their sweetness and fruitiness.
