Chile, due to its exotic character, is an ideal country for the production of white wine. The Chilean climate is cooler than that of Argentina, but the soil is more fertile! These are ideal conditions for the grape varieties to develop delicious flavors.
Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc are among the most widely used grape varieties for the production of Chilean white wines. Sauvignon Blanc is mainly planted in the Curicó Valley. The cooler temperatures of this region allow a gradual ripening of the grapes. As can be guessed, this progressive ripening process allows the Sauvignon Blanc to fully develop.
