The Hunter Valley is an atypical Australian vineyard that currently covers nearly 4,500 hectares with a harvest of 26,000 tons of grapes.
It is the oldest wine region in Australia. The vineyard is gradually beginning to make an international name for itself, especially with the Hunter Shiraz (red). The Hunter Valley is Australia's best known and recognized wine region with nearly 120 estates making it one of the best vineyards in the country.
The reds have a limpid garnet color, are very vinous, generally well balanced. Syrah is the main red grape variety. It gives here very colorful, full-bodied and heady wines. They are wines that can be kept for a very long time and improve for 10 years or more.
