Casablanca valley is located about 40 kilometers, northwest of Santiago and is part of the Aconcagua wine region. It consists 3600 hectares. This valley owes its name to Saint Barbara of Casablanca, who was the wife of a Spanish monarch, Fernando VII.
The Casablanca valley is a young wine region, about 30 years old. In this region the vines were planted in the 1980s. Today, the region produces exceptional Chilean red wines. The Pinot Noir, produces very aromatic Chilean red wines. The robe is ruby red. The nose presents aromas of red fruits as well as spicy notes. The tannins are round, a present acidity that gives freshness to the wine.
