The Chiroubles is a grand cru of the Beaujolais. It is the highest appellation among the 10 Beaujolais crus. The climate is cooler and the harvest is generally later.
Damien Coquelet is a young winegrower who trained with the great names in natural wine. He started to vinify his own vines in 2007. He ploughs his soils, vinifies with indigenous yeasts and does not use sulfur in winemaking. The estate is in the process of obtaining the organic label.
