The AOC Moulin-à-Vent is one of the Beaujolais Crus. Situated around the commune of Moulin-à-Vent, on 655 hectares, the vineyard presents a wine-growing landscape and variable soils.
Sand overlies the granitic bases, giving lean and well draining soils that avoid rainwater retention. In addition to the beneficial climatic conditions, the vines evolve favourably on these hillsides with sometimes severe slopes, resulting in a production of 31,100 hl/year. These red wines have a ruby to garnet color, with aromas of flowers and fruits. Full-bodied and complex, they are excellent wines for laying down.
