Set back from the Côte, in the immediate vicinity of Montrachet, Saint-Aubin is a very small village whose vineyards cover fairly steeply sloping crests, notably on the edge of Puligny-Montrachet. The terroir is made up of white clayey soil and is subject to a dry and rather cold climate due to its elevated position. Under these conditions, the wines reveal a fleshy and opulent character.
